Biography

I am a Paris-based photographer, poet, writer and researcher. I was born in France to a Colombian mother and Iranian father. My research work, art practice and identities are intertwined.

I have worked as a researcher for NGOs and social justice activists for a decade. My work revolved around recovering truth and memory to rebuild post-war and post-conflict societies. I analyze and study narratives that can support human rights and democratic values.

In my art work, I document cultural heritages, rituals, traditions and diasporic communities through portraits, documentary photography and other media forms of storytelling. I believe collecting and archiving memory of our human experience, in particular experiences that are at risk of disappearing, is key to building the future we wish for.

We build upon the memory of who we are.

Besides my own projects, I work with creatives, entrepreneurs, brands and anyone whose story is rooted in a cultural heritage and who wish to have it told.
